I realize it may be too late for coffee tonight, and by the time I finish writing this, it will probably not be Friday anymore! But better late then never right?
The reason I'm so behind today is that I got off work today, picked up my brother Abe from school and have been cat fishing at the river ever since! Cat fishing makes for some late Friday nights, but is sure is a lot of fun.
Life has been crazy lately. And that's not an understatement!
But guess what? I'M ON SPRING BREAK!!!
I am more excited about spring break as a teacher than I ever was as a student.
I'm looking forward to a lot of great projects, spring cleaning, and of course the stack of papers I brought home to grade.
I started off this week geocaching with a some friends!
Have you ever been geocaching?
It's like a worldwide treasure hunt that anyone can participate in. There are clues and maps on the website that will lead you to the treasures around your town. we found 5 in Princeton in just a few hours! It was a lot of fun!
This week the weather was so beautiful outside. For our date night, we drove out to some back country roads and just walked together until the sun set. One of the things I have been so grateful for in our marriage is our commitment to date night. Every Thursday night we have set aside time to invest in our relationship. It's unbelievable how life can slip by without us spending much time together. Our Thursday date nights have been a great time for us to just talk and enjoy being together!
Things are still up in the air right now for us. We aren't really sure where God is leading us, or how things are going to turn out. I wish I could share with you in more detail, but that time will come. For now, God is teaching us to trust and rest in Him.
Now listen you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
What a beautiful place to be-resting in God's will, trusting in His promises and knowing that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
