16 weeks baby bump update!

I originally started off this week's post celebrating the fact that I had not thrown up all week, and was finally off of my pills....in fact I even wrote that I thought I was over my morning sickness. And then the unthinkable happened. Yup...I took a nice little trip to the bathroom and had to delete all the happy words I had just written about not being sick anymore:(
Oh well! I know it could be worse, and I'm just grateful that sickness is a sign of a healthy baby!

What was my favorite thing about week 15? Definitely my appointment today. Look how much baby K has grown!
Last time we had an ultrasound, you could barely see the baby. This time I got to see his/her arms and legs moving! Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl? My doctor knows! Jimmy couldn't make it this appointment though, so I asked her to wait and tell us next time. Dang it! I hate waiting!
I have also loved watching my belly get a little bit bigger:)
Yes I know this is the awkward stage where people aren't sure if you are putting on a few pounds, or pregnant. Most everyone around me knows I'm pregnant though, so I love that I'm starting to have a little baby bump to show off!

What has been my least favorite thing? Feeling like I've run a marathon at the end of the day. Seriously! Oh, and the morning sickness that's back...

What am I craving? I still don't really have much of an appetite. Is that normal? I wanted to be that pregnant woman eating up a storm everywhere I went and I'm kind of the opposite! Maybe it will all balance out in my 3rd trimester;)

What foods make me sick? Hamburgers still sound like the worst idea ever.

Other random things about my 15th week:
-My innie is turning into an outie...already? I didn't realize that would start to happen so soon! It's like in an in between stage where it's half in, half out:)
-I don't know if it's "pregnancy brain" or what, but apparently I've been saying really weird stuff lately without even realizing what I'm saying...like mixing up words, or adding in words that make no sense!

What I'm looking forward to:
Feeling my baby move. I know I still may not feel it for a few weeks, but I am very excited!
Finding out if it's a he or a she on July 30th...I'm considering having a gender revealing party...what do you think?

Psalms 139:13
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

  1. Again thank you for sharing your experience with us. It brings me back to my beautiful pregnancy. I am so sorry you are so sick though, praise the Lord I did not have that. I think a party is a great idea. Take good care.
