Friday Coffee Date

Sorry I'm a little late in dropping by for our coffee date today! Guess where I am right now? I'm sitting in a comfy chair with my feet propped up on a stool sipping a decaf caramel machiatto latte. Yumm!
Doesn't that make our date seem so much more real? If only you could really be drinking something yummy here with me too!
I don't have a Starbucks, or any other coffee shop in my little town, so this is an extra special treat for me! I actually garage saled my way to Evansville.
Why yes, I do believe garage saling is a method of travel.
Although, I will confess, I need to stop buying Christmas trees at garage sales. I keep finding one that is a better deal than the last! The one I got today is a brand new tree with the $300 tag still attached. I got it for $8.
Tell me that's not a good deal.
Or tell me I need therapy...both are probably true:)

I'm also excited to show you my new project I started this week...

They are a little difficult to see from the pictures, but it's the pearl ribbon wrap bracelets from Pinterest! I have been trying to find something new to put in my shop since I can't really spray paint my frames while I am preggers! I'm thinking these may be my new thing, and they are pretty easy to make! Would you buy one?

On a more serious note, remember the post I wrote earlier this week: How Do You Define Your Faith?
Well, ironically enough...God has really been testing my faith lately. You see, we have been house shopping for the past 6 months or so. Let me tell you friends, when you have a tight budget, a specific size, location, and you live in a small town, houses are not super easy to come by. It has been pretty discouraging going to look at house after house and watching them slip away because of someone else bidding or it not working out.
It's one thing for me to say I'm trusting God, and quite another for me to live that way, even when it comes to something like this. So pray for Jimmy and I that we will trust God to provide for us in HIS perfect timing.
I know that he will!

How can I pray for you this week? As always, if there's any way I can encourage or pray for you, don't hesitate to leave me a comment, or send me an e-mail!

P.S. Don't forget to visit my sweet friend Chrissy over at Boerman Ramblings as she shares some Friday Coffee with you as well!

  2. I love those bracelets, but I love anything with pearls. I hope things work out with a house. I know how frustrating it can be to want something so badly and it not work out. I would love for you to pray for my husband this week. He has a major doctor's appointment that we hope will solve some medical problems he has. Have a great weekend!

  6. Oh yum... your Starbucks coffee looks so good! I'm from a coffee shop-less small town, too! That does make real coffee shop dates extra special :) P.S. That bracelet is gorgeous!

Praying for you and your family's house search! House buying stresses me out... but like you said, it is one thing to say we trust God and another to actually live this way. God cares about everything in our lives - big or small. Personally, house buying was a pretty big deal to me!

Please pray for my husband and I as we are waiting for baby #2! This is an area where God has been testing my faith this past year. Lots of different emotions going on, yet I do see how He is helping my faith to grow through this. I'm doing my best to stay hopeful and pray that this is "the month".

    God bless!
