A Tasteful 4th of July

Happy {day before the} 4th of July! The 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday...this year it may be Christmas because my baby will be here...but either way, there's something about this Holiday that makes me happy!
As a child, I always went to parades and filled up a trash bag with sticky candy, pencils and coupons, had a water fight with my brothers, a cookout with my family, and topped the day off with sparklers, the national anthem and the big city fireworks.
Sounds pretty perfect huh?

Well, now that I'm an adult, my 4th of July has changed a little, but I hope it's just as fun! This year, we are having a cookout with some of our friends and heading to the river to watch fireworks! As I was browsing through Pinterest for some patriotic recipes, I ended up with a whole pinboard and couldn't resist sharing some of them with you!
Maybe you will end up using some of them for your 4th of July celebration!

Patriotic Kids Drink

How does it work? the drink with the highest sugar content stays on the bottom...use red fruit punch on the bottom, blue Gatorade in the middle, diet 7-up or sprite on top..... Good for the kids for the 4th!

I thought this one was really cool! The drink with the highest sugar content stays on the bottom. Use red fruit punch on the bottom, blue Gatorade in the middle, and diet 7-up or sprite on the top! Let me know if any of you try it!
