25 week bumpdate

Last week we saw our baby girl in 4D ultrasound. We got to see her face, and it was amazing!

How far along: 25 weeks down...15 to go!

Movement: I think she is trying to speak to me in morse code punches. Is that possible? Haha but seriously she is a crazy mover! I love it:)

Weight Gain: Total pregnancy gain of about 7-8 pounds...just depends on when I weigh myself.

Maternity Clothes: Sooo I broke out my first pair of maternity jeans this last Saturday and they kept falling down! But ya know how the top part goes way above your belly like grandma pants? Well that made it very difficult and awkward to pull my pants up. I looked like a ghetto pregnant woman out on the town with my pants saggin'!
I think I'm going to have to stick with the belly bands for a few more weeks!

Best moment of my week: Going apple picking and garage saling with my best friend Nicole!

Worst moment of my week: I puked and puked last Thursday. (Don't worry, there's no pictures of this one;) It was dreadful. I had stopped taking my medication to see if I was past the puking phase. I am not!

Sleep: Eh I can't complain.

Miss Anything: I miss coffee and cappuchinos now that it's getting cooler. I also miss the feeling of being able to hop up off the couch without it being a lot of work!lol But other than that, I'm enjoying this phase of pregnancy:)

Cravings: Sweets! Ice cream, chocolate...you get the idea!

Aversions: Eggs. Gross.

Gender: She is still a girl! You can read about our gender reveal party here!

Belly Button: I have an outie!

Labor Signs: A few Braxton Hicks this last week...they make me nervous, but I know they are completely normal!

Moody or Happy: Very happy!

Looking Forward: I am getting more and more anxious for her to get here! I can't wait to meet my little sweet pea!

  2. What a beautiful name! Congratulations! And thanks for sharing such fun news with us ... a great way to start the morning. :)

  3. Awwwwwwwwww faith that is such a perfect name for her "beautiful joy" AMAZING!!!!!

  4. Pretty name! I like that spelling of it too.

  5. Beautiful names :) MY 2 year old's name is Kaelyn Faith (we call her.. Kaely!) the baby we lost to a miscarriage is named JOY for God taught us joy during that hard season.

  6. Love the name! Super cute. That was one of our options also. Taylor's middle name is spelled "Leigh" too! :)

  7. Welcome Baby Kaleigh!
    Love you all.

  8. Sounds like a beautiful name... for a beautiful baby! Exciting times!

  9. Love the name! We actually really liked Kaleigh as wel, but a close relative has it, so I guess it wasn't even an option for us.

You know, I had Braxton Hicks from probably about 20 weeks on. I didn't even realize what they were until 27 weeks when a friend told me. Be encouraged, they are actually GOOD! I have a friend here who had none during her first pregnancy and had a very long, drawn out labour. Compared to other friends, (and myself included) that had them a LOT, and had a fairly short and easy labor. They also call it uterus toning, and it's just that - it's getting your body ready for labor!

And hey, it's your choice completely, but most sources out there say you don't have to give up coffee completely. Unless you are dealing with really low vitamin deficiencies or something, studies show 1-2 cups a day are perfectly ok, as long as you don't exceed 200mg a day. I drank it probably 4 times a week while pregnant and everything was ok. :-)

Best wishes! I'm enjoying tracking your progress!

  10. Aw, I love the name! You look great still!

  11. You look great! And I love her little name! A tip for the maternity pants, (I don't have any yet but it worked with my shorts) is if they have that huge elastic band, fold it over and few times (like yoga pants)and it makes the waistband tighter!

  12. What a beautiful name! And sweet pictures. =)

  13. I love that name!! SO beautiful! Don't know why I thought of this, but did I ever tell you that my baby girl's name is Emily Faith? :) Anyway, I'm SO sorry that you're so sick, friend! I really can't imagine. You have such a great attitude are such a trooper. Can't wait to meet this little one!

  14. roll the elastic down and use the belly bands over top of them. Trust me it works. Beautiful name
