Homemade Blueberry Almond Granola

Do you love having granola for breakfast, but hate how much it costs for a little box of it?
I do!
So I decided to experiment this morning and come up with a quick and cheap recipe for homemade granola.
Mine got a little crispy so it doesn't look pretty. It still tastes good though, I promise!

Here's what you need:
3.5 cups of Rolled Oats
1 cup of almonds
1/4 cup of flax seed
1/8 cup of wheat germ
1 cup of shredded coconut
1 cup of dried blueberries
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of Grape Seed Oil
1/2 cup of honey

Mix all of the above ingredients together except for the honey and oil. Heat the honey and oil together on the stove top until smooth. Then add the oil/honey mixture to the other ingredients. Mix thoroughly until all of the oats are coated.
Spread evenly over the bottom of a large cookie sheet (or 2 cookie sheets) The thinner you spread it, the crunchier it will be. (I used 2 cookie sheets and it was crunchy!)
Bake at 300 for 25-30 minutes.
Let cool and then store in a dry air tight container!

Enjoy for breakfast, or in my case lunch:)

This is not by any means a set in stone recipe. You can substitute the blueberries for another dried fruit, or simply leave them out. You can also use a different kind of oil, leave out the flax seed and wheatgerm etc...
