Happy Mother's Day!
I wanted to write something profound for Mother's Day, especially now that I'm a mom.
But, after diaper changes, bath time, playtime and so much more, I opted for a nap instead of profoundness.
I would much rather spend my time being a mother than writing about it anyways!
So, I just want to say a quick Happy Mother's Day to some of the many wonderful women who have played a part in being a mother to me.
I wouldn't be here without you and that's the truth. No we haven't always gotten along or seen eye to eye, but we have both learned a great deal and you have become a great encouragement to me, especially now that I'm a mom myself. You, as my mother played a huge role in helping me become the woman that I am today. You instilled me with character and prayed for me to be a woman of God. I appreciate you and the friendship we now share.
It's amazing to see the work God has done in your life as you surrender to Him. You are a wonderful mother and grandmother to sweet pea. I love you!
I have no words to describe the role you both played in my life. You have always looked out for me, cared for me, loved me and been there for me when I felt like no one else was. I have countless memories of you doing my hair, teaching me school, letting me help you cook, bake bread, and even tag along on time with your friends. You both sacrificed so much to be mother figures to me and I realize I would not be who I am today without you. Helen and Beth, I am so thankful for you. You are both examples and inspiration to me of how to be a great mom as I watch you parent your own children. I love you so much!
Although you have only been in my life for a few years, I still have learned much from you! You are the mom of 12 kids and they all adore you...you must have done something right! I appreciate the way that you love and care for every member of your family so selflessly. You are a great example to me and those around you of how to be a loving mother. You are also an awesome grandmother to all of those grandchildren of yours. I don't know how you keep up! I am blessed to have married into your family and have you as my mother-in-law! I love you!
(P.S.You did a great job on the one named Jimmy...he's an amazing man, and pretty cute too)
You have always been such an inspiration to me. Although I didn't really get the chance to know you until a few years ago, I treasure our talks together on the phone and the times that we do get to see each other. I can always count on you to be there when I need someone to talk to and to give your advice and encouragement when I need it. I love our weekly phone calls and how you get concerned if I miss a week! I hope I can one day be a grandma as wonderful as you. I love you!
and to my sweet baby girl, I love being your mom.
I thank Jesus for you every day
and I can't wait for the day when you call me mom!
