Packing a diaper bag may seem like a simple task...until you forget something important, right?
My diaper bag has transformed over the past (almost) 2 years as my daughter goes through various stages and changing needs!

Here's a list of my basic diaper bag items:

1. Diapers and Wipes
This one is an obvious one. I usually pack 2 cloth diapers for a day running errands and more if we are spending the whole day out! I also keep a hefty pack of wipes as well.

2. Healthy Home Spray Hand Sanitizer. This stuff is AMAZING! It's a hand sanitizer in a spray bottle. It's non-toxic too, so it can be used on hands, pacifiers, and anything else that needs cleaned on the go!

3. Snacks. I keep a fruit pouch, snack crackers, pretzels and more for K to munch on while we are out if she gets hungry!

4. Crayons and coloring book.
I keep some crayons in an empty Altoids tin and a little coloring book for moments when I need my busy 21 month old occupied!  Melissa & Doug Color and Carry Coloring Book  is one of our favorites!

5. I also keep Organic Bug Spray and Zinc Oxide Sunscreen for those just in case moments. You never know when you will need them!

6. Sunglasses.
My daughter has a hatred for sun in her eyes so I always make sure I have an extra pair of sunglasses in the diaper bag!

7. Extra pacifier.
because they always disappear when you need them most!

8. Depending on how long we will be gone, I sometimes pack a change of clothes and a bib/toddler utensils!

If you're wondering where I got my super sweet tote, I actually made it and they are for sale at AllieRuth Design. They come with different quotes and gorgeous vintage fabric lining! It's trendy, sturdy, adorable and washable! I love that I can pack it light for a trip to the grocery store or stuff it full for a weekend stay at a friends house.

    1. No joke! We have the same thing happen to us with sippy cups. Those things are large and yet they disappear. We are always buying new sippy cups and pacifiers!

    1. Yes, it is AMAZING! I am a rep for Healthy Home Company which is the only place that sells it! Their cleaning products are the BEST as well. I don't have to worry about them hurting Kaleigh and they smell amazing. Let me know if you have any questions :) Here is the link to the site if you want to place an order! https://www.healthyhomecompany.com/faithkonrath

  8. I love what you pack in your diaper bag. My bag usually gets demolished (I have many helpers), so I've started carrying the essentials in our car. That way, if the diaper bag is toast, I still have what I need in a box in my car. I guess you could call it my security box. Thanks for your post.

    1. That's a great idea! I have started keeping extra diapers in my car just in case. My diaper bag gets demolished by my little monkey as well so I can imagine with more it is even harder to keep it organized haha!

    1. Thanks, Sarah! I wouldn't have thought of it if she didn't freak out every time the sun is in her eyes. Now it is a must have for every car trip!
