Mommy Moments #226

Welcome to Mommy Moments! We are so glad you have joined us! It is a blessing to look back on the past several years with all of our co-hosts, guest hosts, and community of moms linking up to encourage and challenge one another. It's worth so much to know that moms have been blessed and maybe felt a little less alone in doing what God has called them to do. Thank you all for using your writing to be a blessing to me as well as to the hundreds of other mamas who are reading it. I'm thankful for each of you who have made this link up possible!
-------------------------------------------

It's no secret that motherhood has its seriousness and frustration as well as its joys. That's why we are here. Life is much easier when traveled with companions! So mamas, let's join together in the spirit of motherhood and share our moments together. We want to hear the happy, sad, tough, terrible, hilarious moments that make being a mother the best job in the world!

The top viewed link this week belongs to Amanda from Living On Grace and her post "A Certain Kind Of Lifestyle." Since many of us in this Mommy Moments community have young children, this post will resonate with most. Toys everywhere are one of the many challenges of raising children, and Amanda's attitude towards the mess and how she spent her time before having kids is a wonderfully encouraging reminder to be grateful for our children and their messes.

The top viewed link this week belongs to Amanda from Living In Grace and her post "This Unavoidable Conversation About Love". Amanda shared her experience voting in this year's election, a controversial topic, but one that needs to be talked about and shared nonetheless. There have been many dramatic posts written about how to talk to your kids about the election, but this one doesn't use fear, but rather love to explain to our children that no matter who is president, the love of our Lord endures forever. What a sweet promise we have to pass on to our children even in these troubling times!

66 Ways God Loves You {Book Review and Giveaway!}

66 Ways God Loves You is a beautiful collection of promises and encouragement from each book of the Bible. From the Creation to the Cross, Jennifer Rothschild unpacks the love and goodness of God for each of us in an inspiring and personal way. Jennifer has been an inspiration to women for years as a speaker, writer and friend and this book is written in a way that speaks directly to the longing we all have as women to feel loved.

Jennifer does a fantastic job of personalizing the love of God for her readers as God offers His love to us in each and every season of our lives. This special book will also familiarize readers with the Bible in a comprehensive way, giving a deeper understanding of the Bible as a whole and how God's love permeates through every section.
Here are just a few examples of the way Jennifer draws out God's love through each book.

  • IN Esther, He makes me royalty.
  • In Acts, God's Spirit comes to live in me.
  • In I Peter, God gives me victory over suffering.
